Future Learn

  In troducing inclusive learning  and teaching in my practice I feel that the best practice for the fostering of inclusive learning  and teaching  could be predicated on the following: • To develop an understanding and respect for the unique qualities and abilities of each student • Highlighting the fact that all students have their own unique  strengths and that they can all bring something special to the learning experience of both themselves and others  • Enabling positive friendships with students from varying backgrounds  • Encouraging peer to peer learning to encourage supported learning • Encouraging activities which bring people from various communities both in and out of the classroom

My views on diversity in  higher education Education should be at the heart of a diverse and  inclusive organisational culture, whereby everyone in feels  valued and can become self actualised. People should be  given a fair chance and be treated respectfully. I feel my students should be treated in a  more 'bespoke' manner, where differentiation  is factored into their learning experience and  with a more active role within that too.
